About
I’m Nerys Williams Giuliani, I’m a foodie from the UK, living with my husband and two daughters in the beautiful town of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
I’d love to help you meet your health goals by sharing with you my passion for healthy cooking, and how food can not only be a pleasure but a medicine.
In 2019, I received my PhD for my research in the field of diabetes. After that, I worked in corporate biotech for several years. During this time, I also married and started a family. I didn’t think too much about the huge life adjustment that follows when you have kids, and I continued as always: commuting, striving to be my best at work, and hoping to get promoted. Already exhausted for several years, the COVID pandemic hit. I found myself suddenly with small kids at my remote ‘office’, renovating my home in parallel, and completely overwhelmed. I lived on coffee and fumes, did no exercise and started sleeping excessively. Then, one day at work I came to a complete stop. Mentally, I laid down my tools. I took several months off, rested and tried to refocus. Talking to other mums, I realised I certainly wasn’t the only one who was overstretched.
This experience led me to embark on a journey into Health and Wellness Coaching, complemented by studies in Nutrition. I wanted to create a business that would help busy mums like me with easy practical tools, and genuine support, to improve their health through nutrition and lifestyle changes.
From everything I’ve learned so far on nutrition, I concluded that classic dieting and calorie counting are not helpful for long-term weight management. I am pragmatic and believe in bite-size adaptations to the food you already eat, which may mean learning about simple dishes you already know from your culture and family. General principles I encourage to ‘eat the rainbow’ of fruit and vegetables, and focus on whole foods, while reducing meat and highly processed foods on your menu. A lot of my inspiration comes from the so-called Mediterranean diet (no doubt because my husband is Italian), as well as the research and books of Dan Buettner on the lifestyles of people in the ‘Blue Zones’ - areas of the world with the highest number of centenarians.
Recent studies are showing that there is no one-size-fits-all way to eat: we are all individuals, with different bodies. Since I am. a biologist, I see a lot of potential in looking to our gut microbiome in order to understand what works for us personally.
I believe that through coaching, I help people create time and space for reflection on their current situation, goal creation and a springboard for significant positive change.
The UPP! approach
Life can be a whirlwind, with the demands of work and family often leaving us feeling like we're stuck with our health concerns in the fog. The struggle is real…
To tackle this we break it down for you, using our UPP! approach:
Unblocking: When health gets off-balance most people know what needs to change but for all-the-reasons are not able to get started. We aim to help you to uncover what blocks and what motivates change in your life.
Prioritising: It can also be a real struggle to prioritise your health due to work and family commitments. Together, we can look at how to keep you well and feeling your best without compromising your other responsibilities.
Planning: Taking the time to plan changes into our life is also a struggle in a busy world. Therefore, we also want to simplify the process for you: you define your goals and we provide practical tools and accountability to help you get to where you need to be.
Education and Accreditation
I am a registered member of the Beroepsvereniging Leefstijlcoaches Nederland (BLCN Dutch Lifestyle Coaches Association), and successfully completed an internationally recognised programme in Health and Lifestyle Coaching. I am scientifically trained, holding a biomedical PhD.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
